Dr. Peats graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007, her compassion for equine patients during final-year clinical rotations earned her the “Dino and Dr. Ashburner Award in Equine Care”. After graduation from vet school she went on to complete a one-year equine internship at Edmonton Equine Veterinary Services and then joined Delaney Veterinary Services — a full-service equine hospital in Sherwood Park, Alberta. In 2014, she returned home to Manitoba to open her own practice, McBurney Vet Services. Dr. Peats enjoys all aspects of equine practice but has a special interest in equine reproduction and equine performance horse lameness.
Maire has a Nursing degree and Early Childhood Associate Degree specializing in management and administration. Although she practiced in both those fields for several years, her first love of horses has always been her passion. When Meagan returned to Manitoba and opened her practice it was the perfect opportunity to pursue that.
We would be lost without Stacey! Stacey takes care of the daily feeding and care of our onsite horses and keeps our facility in top notch shape. Stacey has tons of experience with horses and caring for them.
